Krishna Temple of North Carolina

The second meeting to construct the new Krishna temple was held on June 30, 2006 at ISKCON, Hillsborough, NC.

His Holiness Bir Krshna das Goswami opened the meeting and gave a presentation showing details of the ISKCON temple in New Zealand. He showed the 360⁰ view of the main temple and prasadam hall followed by detailed pictures of the wall paintings, kitchen, temple dome etc. You can see these pictures when you click "Continue Reading" link at the end of minutes of this meeting.

The following comments / points were made during the meeting.

• Daya-vir gave an update on fund-raising. The total funds in the bank were $11,500 as of today, and we have $1000 in pledge so far. To expedite the fund raising, Daya-vir, Vikram, and Hrshikesh decided to meet on July 8th at Hrshikesh's house to draw an action plan. Hrshikesh will invite Mahatam Singh to the meeting.
• Daya-vir will arrange a meeting with Jadu-Rani to discuss and expedite the site-plan next week.
• Janma-Astami festival is on August 16, 2006 and ISCKON is expecting a congregation of approximately 2000 people.
• It was decided to put-up a separate tent for fund raising for the Krshna Temple of NC.
• Bir Krshna Das Goswami suggested to make a large picture of the proposed temple on a canvas to put-up in the tent for the fund-raising. Bir Krshna Das Goswami will give the contact information of one of his devotee in Delhi to Vikram so that the picture can be made on the canvas before Janma-Astami.
• It was also decided to show the actual site-plan for the fund-raising. Daya-vir was assigned the responsibility to get this done before Janma-Astami by coordinating it with Jadu Rani.
